 Part 1 - The House of Reggie’s/The New Beginning Review:

This is the third reboot of The House of Reggie’s Series and it has been said by Reggie Haynes(Creator and Director of the show) that it will be the last. This new series was brought to the public at the end of August 2024 with a Trailer followed by an “Episode 0”. The episode title came to mind seeing that Reggie wanted to start things over from the beginning and also let people know that the “0” stands for zero budget.

Episode “Part 1” Breakdown

We pick up where “Episode 0” left off as Legacy(Reggie Haynes) speaks to his Spirit Guide “Advisor” about taking on his new role as “The Universe’s Greatest Hero”. We are then shown YR(Reggie Haynes) watching the News as his brothers Reggie and Comedic(Both played by Reggie Haynes) arguing about how people in Africa have treated the brothers as if they are nothing but “Outsiders”.

As the episode continues we see things fall apart within the Reggie Brothers Household as Comedic leaves, YR is upset with the fact that he has been forced into retirement due to his family falling apart, and mysterious henchmen end up shooting at both YR and Reggie leading them to be held captive within their own home as the unknown henchmen wait for them outside. Heroics are shown by Reggie but that wasn’t the hero that many are talking about; earlier in the episode we see Legacy training to master his abilities in a matter of one day. Legacy must then make it to his brothers in time to save them from the unknown henchmen but that wasn’t the only task for Legacy. We find out that Comedic’s mind was so corrupted by a Podcast that it led him to hire the unknown henchmen to try to take out YR and then once that plan failed Comedic felt the need to take out YR himself. Legacy’s inspiration and the ability of “Mind Control” stopped Comedic from killing his own brother and making a traumatic decision for himself. The episode ends with a major “Cliff Hanger”  where we see that the Master-Mind behind the entire plan of destroying the Reggie Brothers was non other than “Killer Clown” played by Frank Kapira. Later in the episode Legacy and his brothers are Wanted Criminals and must reside in “Ogun Land” only to be targeted by the leader of this land who plans to release his dragon and murder Legacy and his family.

My Points

Episode “Part 1” showed viewers that there even with all of the problems circulating around the Reggie Brothers, Legacy found a way to not only save them physically but physiologically as well. Legacy showed viewers in his heroic debut that a hero isn’t just someone who fights crime and shows special abilities but a hero also finds ways to help those who are at their lowest point mentally and emotionally. Comedic and YR obviously have allowed their issues of Africa to get the best of them and hopefully they can reconcile so we don’t witness another disaster. Reggie has clearly been the “Voice of Reason” from the beginning and has been the glue that holds the family together.

What We Know So Far

Legacy has a lot of enemies and we have just started the series. We know of Ogun and Killer Clown but who will be the next villain if Legacy gets past the leader of all African Ancestors and Killer Clown.

Who at is Killer Clowns “End Game”? Does he only want to destroy Legacy or is there a bigger agenda for the villainous Clown?

How will the Reggie Brothers survive moving forward? They are unwelcome in Ogun Land and they are Wanted Criminals in Africa.
